The last book I read that sucked me in was The Butchering Art about 19th century surgery in London. I just started Spook by Mary Roach and that is good so far. Is there a name for books like these? Historical/non-fiction but easy to read about the medical field/historical etc? I have The Great Plaque but so far it’s pretty hefty although I’d like to give it another go. Long story short- I like weird non-fiction books that aren’t heavy and academic. Is any of this making sense? 😂😂
