I feel like every queer novel I run across, especially the romances, seem to involve the queerness as a main plot point. Like, the character is battling with admitting their orientation to themselves. Or being gay is banned in their society and they have to hide their love.
Romance novels that feature straight relationships, which is most of them, are about so many various things. I just want a historical romance novel or something that features a sapphic relationship, but the fact that they're gay is just a descriptor and not a main point.
