Hey! I’m hoping to get a book suggestion for historical fiction. Phillipa Gregory’s novels are the style that I know my partners mum likes. So something in that realm would be brilliant. The only historical fiction I’ve read is Oliver Gemmell, so I’m completely lost.
Thank you!!

Katherine of Aragón: The True Queen by Alison Weir, it’s the first book in the Six Tudor Queens series.
Girl with a Pearl Earring by Tracy Chevalier
Anything by Bernard Cornwell and/or Irving Stone
The Orphan Train by Christina Baker Cline
Wolf Hall, Bring up the Bodies, and The Mirror and the Light by Hilary Mantel. Trilogy about Robert Cromwell, Henry VIII, etc, and so well written and engaging! I could not put Wolf Hall down. Spectacular.
The Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon is based on true history. Hands down the best book series I’ve ever read (at least 5 times) from an historical fiction lover.
James Clavell, especially _Shogun_
James Michener, especially _The Source_
Robert Graves, especially _I, Claudius_ and _Claudius the God_. Have not read _King Jesus_ but it’s been recommended to me in the past
Anything by Anya Seton.
