Cozy fantasy for someone who had no idea the genre existed until recently

A bit of context: I was joking with a friend about a potential idea for my next novel, and she said it would be great as cozy fantasy. I don't read fantasy at all, and didn't know what "cozy fantasy" was until a few days ago. I think the idea would be fun to at least try to write, but given I have zero familiarity with the genre, I figure I should at least read a couple of things and get a feel for it before I dive in.

For what it's worth, I generally read more literary fiction and narrative nonfiction; Italo Calvino, Cormac McCarthy and Robert Caro, are among my favorite writers.
