I’m allergic to mushrooms; my kid just got ringworm. I just moved out of a house with mold. I HATE fungus.
I (hope) imagine there is a scientific book that would make me appreciate fungus; however, most books on mycology are aimed at the fungi-lover demographic.
As previously stated I HATE Fungi but I think I could challenge that with a good academic or evolutionary text on the importance.
Any thoughts?

The Mushroom at the End of the World by Anna Tsing is great! Pretty critical book on post-capitalism but really interesting
Finding the Mother Tree has an excellent section on mycelium. The whole book was wonderful actually
Entangled Life, by Merlin Sheldrake. It’s very readable and wide-ranging on the topic of fungi and mushrooms
**The Fungus** by *Harry Adam Knight*. You’ll realise it could get so much worse.
