As much as I'd like to read a book about world history, I know I won't remember everything. A visual resource sounds ideal to me, so I can go to the time period I'm feeling curious about anytime. I found these two, I wonder if anyone could tell me which one would be better.
– History of the World Map by Map: I love the maps in there for better understanding of where things happened at a certain moment. I didn't love that each important moment in history is sometimes 1 or 2 pages max, and then it jumps to somewhere else in the world. I get the feeling I'll end up needing another source of information right after.
– History: The Definitive Visual Guide: Definitely a thicker book. I like the extra information about each moment in history. Not sure if fewer maps would make it hard to follow. I found out the "Definitive visual guide" is a series, they have some fascinating titles.
Any other suggestion is, of course, welcome. Thanks!
