I was at my local bookstore the other day to pick up this book and as I was checking out I overheard two people discussing the book a few feet away from me. They didn’t see that I had the book in my hand and I overheard them say “and when Arthur died I was so shocked”. I didn’t hear much else and initially didn’t think much of it because I had no idea who Arthur was. Later that night when I started the book I realized that Arthur appears to be one of, if not THE, main character.
Did these people ruin the book for me? I’m still going to read it regardless, but I was pretty annoyed to have such a big reveal spoiled for me before I even started.

Oh well. He died.
(And fyi you’ve just spoiled that book for me and everyone else if we decide to read it…)
Next time do a proper spoiler rather than an extremely vague “Question about this book” title.
The book switches between different POVs, so Arthur isn’t really the main character – I might say he’s the main protagonist. I personally don’t think that reveal should affect much.
