hello!
As the title says I am looking for books that in a sense pick up where these characters 'left off' once they would have left schooling. Characters like the ones I have listed are sort of aspirational, especially in terms of learning and how much they read, but also have like an overall very cozy and down to earth vibe/lifestyle? I have really loved these characters and have used them as sort of touch stones growing up, but now that I've almost finished with school myself I am starting to feel a disconnect. I feel like I need to find similar characters but who are in late 20s/30s girl. Sally Rooney is sort of close to this except her characters are just a bit too ultimately unlikeable. I also feel like some romcoms have characters like this although I seem to find them easier in movies than in romcom books? Idk I've read some of the popular romance authors at the moment (Emily Henry, Taylor Jenkins Reid, Sophie Kinsella, Colleen Hoover, etc) and while those books were fun in their own way they just didn't have the characters I am really looking for because the atmosphere wasn't always super cozy nor grounded in small everyday life beats and the emotional perspectives / inner life of the characters… just didn't resonate in way where there was enough comfort and depth to want to revisit.
TLDR; looking for characters who are sort of cozy and down to earth, who may read a lot, are a bit aspirational, have enough wisdom and perspective to be very revisit-able, and in their late 20 to early 30s.

I don’t know, maybe I’m overestimating who those characters are because nostalgia… but hopefully someone knows what I mean
