I’m a big fan of Westerns, especially those written by Louis L’amour. I enjoy reading about Apache battle techniques, especially their use of unconventional warfare tactics. Ideally, the book is historical fiction (or a Western) and action-packed, but I can settle for fantasy as well. I enjoy reading pulpy books the most, but I can settle for something more philosophical and thought-provoking, too.

Mercy Thompson is great. Her Native culture becomes more and more important as the series progresses.
