I read a borrowed book a good few years ago now and would like to read it again. Unfortunately I cannot, for the life of me, remember the title or the author’s name. There were two stories that really struck me. One was quite tongue in cheek, the other not so much.
The first story opened with an individual calling at a house saying “I am Dud”. It turns out that he is actually dead and is part of a government scheme to break unionised work by employing zombies. A sort of updated Hammer Films’ The Plague of Zombies.
The second story concerned the pursuit of a young couple being chased by a dog-cult on horseback, the result of which their heads are transformed into dogs while their bodies remained human.
