Looking for book recommendations

I’m looking for a book that has vampires, maybe some other monsters in a gothic style that’s easy to read. I really enjoy the movie Van Helsing and would enjoy reading some stories like that. The book can be about a vampire or vampire slayer. I’m looking for a book that’s an easy read / full of action, can be gory and dark, and some adult content. I don’t want the book to be heavy on the smut I rather have a good story/ character development and action over a lot of smut. A good balance.
