hello all! apologies for format, im on my phone
im looking for recommendations. I started reading about a year ago and was gifted a kindle in April. ive tried my best to get into it but im having a hard time finding books that truly hold my attention all the way through.
I love horror as a genre, and a little romance is fine but honestly I dont like sexual/smut stuff. one or two paragraphs in the whole book isnt a big deal but i dont want it through the entire book, so ive been having a hard time finding anything that doesnt include it a lot.
a book I really did love was A Flicker In The Dark by Stacy Willingham. I was in it for the whole thing and absolutely glued. I also was a big fan of short stories like I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream as well as Lamb to the Slaughter.
im also down for mysteries/thrillers if you couldnt tell by the book mentioned above lol. please, any recommendations!! im desperate to really get into it. especially if its a good series!!!
thanks again!!

The work of Jasper Fforde. I would start with the Eyre Affair
The work of Bill Bryson, especially his travelogues
The Speed of Dark
