I always judge a book by its cover. To me, bad cover art for a book means the author and publisher are unimaginative and lack the initiative to make a good cover.
I’m not looking for ultra detailed art but if the cover art looks boring or lazy to me it automatically means that book is going to be lame. I don’t have a ton of free time to read but when I do I lock in with a fresh smoke and silent my phone; so to waste that time on a boring book is highly demotivating for my desire to read.
My favorite books consist of the unconventional heroes series, The Undead World Series, the BobIverse series, expeditionary force series, world tree, Viridian gate online, and wasteland warlords. All of these had interesting cover art so I gave them a shot.
Does anyone have any tips or processes they use to filter books for themselves that they’re willing to share?
