Hey there books lovers reddit, I need some help!

Im dyslexic and havent read a proper book in 7+ years, but i yearn to read what all my friends talk about!
Starting long and complicated books is a bit hard for me though, so I want to start with easier things to make my way up to full reads!

Ive noticed collections like penguin modern classics and the sherlock Holmes short stories collection that seem like a good starting point as they seem thin? Small? Idk what youd call them but I wanted to know if any of yous had recommendations/advice on how to restart my reading journey!!
Much love, a concerningly bad reader♡

    1. Fellow dyslexic here, when I started to read it was with graphic novels and short stories, first book I read through was maus, followed by watchmen, from there I went to to anthologies and short stories, things like the earthsea quartet I enjoyed, then I went on to series like the black magician.
