My daughter is very good at reading for a 7 year old and has started reading novels. I want to find some really good page turner novels for young readers. Not too easy but not quite Harry Potter level either. Like just a step below.
I read The Chronicles of Narnia and the Wrinkle in Time series by Madelaine L’Engle at that age. The latter can be thematically dense even for a gifted reader. I enjoyed it but rereading it as an adult I realized there were some things I just failed to grasp.
