Need a book for commute

Got a two hour commute per day and I would like to fill that time by reading. Read The Handmaid's Tale recently and I thought that was an "appropriate book" (not too sad, not too violent.) On the other hand, I just finished A Thousand Splendid Suns within two days and while it captivated me, it is far too dark and sad to read in public (but I enjoyed it!) I'm not a big fan of the Fantasy genre and gravitate more towards Thrillers or Romances. No classical literature/"difficult" language. Oh, and also the book can’t be too heavy so maybe 400 pages max. Hope I'm not being too vague 🥹 I appreciate any suggestions!
