Ive recently gotten back into reading as i used to love it when I was younger. I read the fantasy books for young adults at the time including such as: the hunger games, eragon, the maze runner, divergent and throne of glass. You get the basics, if it was fantasy or dystopian id read it.

However, now I struggle to find books to read. Ive started on the witcher book series, currently finishing blood of elves, and want something either similar to this fantasy style or a more dystopian book. I only got into this from the Netflix show, and I just can’t help imagine how many good fantasy books there must be out there if I didnt know of the witcher before.

Im not against reading large series of books. But Id like to also read some shorter books to keep things fresh in between reading.

I am very open for suggestions and recommendations if anyone has any!

If you’re into dystopian or fantasy stories that feel psychological and intense rather than just action-based, you might really enjoy The Last Switch by Khalid Hatem.

It’s set in 2120, after technology has collapsed, and it follows people struggling to survive when the systems they relied on disappear. It’s not just about the world ending — it’s about what happens inside people’s minds when it does.

Kind of feels like The Maze Runner meets Black Mirror, but slower and more reflective.
