Hello! I definitely enjoy sex in books, but I hate full-on smut or the "spicy" genre. I prefer when the descriptions of sex are more vague and focused on the emotions of it all.
Looking for homoerotic fiction that fits neatly into the literary category (not YA), historical is a major plus!
Examples of books like this that I enjoyed:
-As meat loves salt
-The Persian boy
-Giovanni's room
-Fingersmith
-the song of achilles
-the price of salt
-the color purple
-call me by your name
Thank you so much!

agh i’ve been looking for something like AMLS forever! thank you for the others you listed— hope you find something!
I was gonna say “As Meat Loves Salt” but you got that. And Mary Renault would be my other go-to and you’ve got her too. So…I wish you good luck!
ETA: “Fried Green Tomatoes” was vague about it, but there were lesbian overtones.
