Recognizing that this might be a bit of a longshot ask, but if anyone can do it y'all can. I'd love to read a couple of fantasy books reccs this winter with a maritime (age of sail) focus? Bonus points for LGBTQ+ characters (or author) and content but I'll take what I can get! Tone isn't super important to me, I'm happy to try some things out.
If you want some extra info, I grew up in a small time lobstering family and my great grandfather was a boat builder during the 1920s-ish. This year I've been learning more about maritime history and boat building in the area I grew up, and I really enjoyed Lucy Bellwood's graphic novel/memoir "Baggywrinkles." I'd love to read some more fantastical stories about boating and ship building now.
Thank you all!
