Hi,
I’m looking for book recommendations for a close friend whose birthday is coming up. Around this time last year, she went through a really rough phase, and I’d like to gift her something that’ll take her mind off things ,something light, and comforting to read, but that also gently touches on life, meaning, grief, and healing.
More of a book that makes you feel understood and hopefully by the end helps you breathe again, you know?

What genres does she like?
I found House on the Cerulean Sea to be a comforting read. It’s about an orphanage for children with super powers. Touches a lot on trauma and self acceptance and found family. Not so much grief but has a lot of touching moments that are just feel good to the soul.
Before the coffee gets cold is pretty cozy and has some nice reflecting moments.
