I recently have watched shows which cover sex work (particularly in East Asia) to some extent, like The Blue Eyed Samurai and Apothecary Diaries, listened to the Miss Saigon musical (yes it's insanely problematic), and recently learned more about the red light district in my own country, so I was curious for fictional books that take place in brothels and red light districts and kinda show the daily lives of the women working there, whether it's their dynamics with each other or with their madames or with clients or whatever.
It can be based in any country, though I would prefer South Asian and East Asian because I'm curious about that and it hits closer to home, and it needs to be from the POV of the women there (whatever role they play), not the men who visit.
