I’ve just broken into my twenties and I’m living through a pretty exciting part of my life. My social circle is exploding, my love life is rich and I’m generally going through the range of emotions at fast pace.
I’ve been into some more serious and melancholy fiction previously but I’m noticing that this isn’t really reflecting my lived experience and giving me wisdom in this part of my life. Even Hemingway which I usually find entertaining feels a bit overly jaded in tone.
In essence, I’d appreciate a recommendation of a book that’s unashamed to be youthful, sentimental and exciting yet also gives space for wisdom and consideration.
