Feel good sci-fi

I'm looking for something to read that will not bum me out and depress me more.

I love sci-fi, hard sci-fi specifically and the end of the earth or human civilisation in reality or in something specific that needs urgent prevention seems a major plotpoint in everything I read recently.

I want something that's fun, funny, enjoyable. Yes, I do consider science heavy enjpyable. But stakes that are not the destruction of earth or the universe would be great.I've read the Three Body Problem trilogy and labor on Seveneves, so nothing like that. ^^I would love to hear what you can recommend.
