My picky rant: (sorry im picky picky)
I love made up stories and NO fantasy characters like being able to fly or cast a spell or No being able to go back into the past. No fake ideas
Just "real life people" so that I can put myself into their shoes. Yes crushes develop but its not a full romance book. I mean it could be but the plot has gotta be good. They meet in a book store, they are neighbors in NYC, they are solving a murder and fall in love idk.
I like books like,
-Bury the lead By Mischa Thrace.
– Setting free the kites by Alex George, and
– What I Want You to See by Catherine Linka.
love mystery when its not graphic just like Bury The Lead. But what I want is just a good story like all of these books. Im not sure what the genre is called.
Other books I Love are
The Window by Amelia Brunskill
I hope you are listening By Tom Ryan
Books I THINK and hope fit this genre that is on my TBR
– Wild things (Laura kay) This has romance BUT seems like an amazing plot so it works so well, they move out the big city and go to an english village house with her friends. FUN!
– Butter (Asako Yuzuki)
– Emma Who saved my life (Wilton Barnhardt)
– Unspeakable Things (Jess Lourey)
Ive spent hours on Goodreads looking but I cant seem to find much more. Yesterday I spent almost 1-2 hours in a book store, that's why I found Wild Things by Laura K.
I felt crazy. It was NOT a big book store either, i was determined to find something I would really like and support the small shop. but omg almost 2 hours.
Also no people who are married as the main characters. not in that stage of my life yet lol. If they get married at the end thats different.
Oh right now im reading, The House Across The Lake by Riley Sager, loving it!
Ok ENOUGH of me, anyone have books recs??
