My son is getting old enough that I can actually read a short book to him without him getting tired of it. So, I'm looking to expand his book collection. I'd love some books with subtle diversity. As in, not about the differences really, but they just have different types of people in them. Different family structures, sexualities, races, levels of ability, religions, any and all of it is good.
He's too young to really understand right now, but I don't want his books to just have the same kind of people in them. He will get plenty of exposure to different kinds of people, (just our family and friends do that without effort) and I want his books to reflect that.
Any suggestions?
