basically looking for recommendations for the stereotypical american dad, i guess. he likes long books and generally prefers nonfiction, but will definitely work his way through a good classic.
books i know he liked:
– East of Eden (Steinbeck)
– Churchill: Walking with Destiny (Roberts)
– Me Talk Pretty One Day (Sedaris)
– Never Cry Wolf (Mowat)
– The Gates of Europe: A History of Ukraine (Plokhy)
his interests include music, outdoors stuff, history, and travel. he likes books with a good sense of humor, but not exclusively. bonus points if the story being told centers around a strong character/personality.
