this is my second time getting dismissed from a job since i moved here last year. the job search was NOT easy in the slightest. the first job i had, i was laid off but they said they did not have any issues with me as a worker. this recent job though, they said i was dismissed because i "worked slow" (which i think is a lie). now i just feel extremely helpless because i really don't want to do the whole job search thing again and what the fuck, who gets dismissed from a retail job???
i just feel like i'm probably never going to be good at a job ever and i know that's stupid but i'm currently unemployed (again) and broke during the worst time in history to possibly be two of those things!
so anyways, i'm trying to get back into reading and i really need to feel comforted fright now, so any recommendations? oh, manga is also welcome to recommend too.

The Undomestic Goddess by Sophie Kinsella
It’s about a woman who has a stressful job as a corporate lawyer until one day she makes a terrible mistake. Unable to face up to the mistake, she runs away and somehow gets hired to be a housekeeper and personal chef for a rich couple even though she has no idea how to cook or clean. It’s lighthearted, funny, and above all really hones in on the theme that there’s more to life than work.
I hope this helps you, and good luck with your job search 🙂
I think Vinland Saga portrays hopelessness well and shows you how to deal with it. I pray for your well-being.
