Adventure book with minimal romance drama

I'm looking for a new book to read. I'd love to hear about your favorites that:

• have minimal romance drama. Romance is fine if it's not the main focus.

• have a quick pace. Ideally it won't spend pages inside a characters head thinking about philosophy.

• are at YA or slightly above that reading level.

• are French or popular enough to have a French translation readily available.

• have good protagonists who aren't cruel. I'm ok with dark themes, but I'd like the good guys to be good guys.

• have protagonists who are teens or older for most of the story.

I'd love to hear about your favorite adventure book. Fantasy is cool, historical fiction works if it doesn't require good historical knowledge to enjoy, so does a story grounded in the modern real world.
