Maybe that sounds weird for people who haven't read a lot of King, but what I really enjoy about Kings novels, is that besides the horror he takes the reader on a journey and describes characters so insanely vivedly, that I just lean back and imagine myself as some kid in the 80s going on an adventure with my friends and feel so comfortable and positiv, like I'm not even in the real world anymore. I'm sure there are more authors who got this ability, and I'm not looking for someone who copys Kings style, but also just write that good. Often I read good books from other authors, but usually, even if they are really good, they are just not giving me that feeling of escaping the world if you know what I mean.
