I just finished Invisible Women: Data Bias in a World Designed for Men and I really enjoyed it. Subject matter aside, I am looking for more non-fiction to consume.
I have DNF’d “It Didn’t Start With You” because half way in, the author was still alleging that trauma is genetic and at one point it was developed by someone the listener has never met/unrelated and I am just not buying this author’s hot take.
Reading a book about women’s studies was interesting. I don’t want anything too politically charged but am not opposed to history/biographies.

The Black Count by Tom Reiss. The subject is Dumas’ father (maybe grandfather) and the model for The Count of Monte Cristo. Definitely political, but not current affairs. Great fun to read
If you’re interested in medical science at all, “The Panic Virus” by Seth Mnookin is about the origins of the anti-vaccination movement and how fear has come to trump science. It’s from 2011 so obviously pre-Covid.
Of Dice and Men by David M. Ewalt: D&D History
As You Wish: Inconceivable Tales from the Making of The Princess Bride by Cary Elwes
The Princess Diarist by Carrie Fisher. A sad tale about changing yourself to be wanted… and what happens when you are wanted and are no longer yourself.
Star Trek: Open a Channel: A Woman’s Trek by Nana Visitor
