November is a hard month for me. I lost my mom on 11/7/18 and I lost my dad on 11/27/24. I also have a sister lost to cancer whose birthday is the 17th of November. I’m only 29. So it’s a long, hard, dark month for me.
I read to cope with a lot of things in life and use it as a general escape. Reading is how I deal with the day to day chaos of life. My question is; what books about grief do you love? Any kind of grief or mourning of a loved one’s death. I love getting other peoples perspectives on the topic. I’ve never been taught how to grieve so I think learning from other people’s stories can be helpful.
I typically read fantasy or science fiction, but I also love a good memoir. Slice of life is also a go to genre for me. Although I’m open to everything.
Thank you for any suggestions you may have.

I am someone who has also dealt with a lot of loss and really loved Under the Whispering Door by TJ Klune.
