    I'm starting in science fiction books and I wanna know if there is any chance that y'all could recomend me a bunch of books. I was looking and I find some Isaac Asimov books like "The end of eternity" or the "Foundation trilogy", I've bought "Recursion" by Blake Crouch and I'm excited to start reading it. If someone can help me to find more books or give me a little summary to the mentioned books, I really preciate it.

    1. For me Foundation was a slow read but enjoyable. It’s the only thing I read by Asimov. Recursion was also a slow read halfway through because I couldn’t figure out what was really going on until just past the halfway point, but then it was like a rollercoaster. I would definitely recommend Blake Crouch just because his stories are not just scifi but also mysteries in a scifi setting.

      I read Foundation shortly after finishing the Dune series ( I started with the prequels because they were throwing them out at the school that I worked at). It deals with a lot of political intrigue and is pretty light on action.

      I would also recommend The Expanse, Dune, Wayward Pines, and Dark Matter. Wayward Pines and Dark Matter are both Blake Crouch and start off slow and rocket forward. The Expanse and Dune both take place in space in the future, and deal with politics and war. The Expanse, however, also has a mystery element to it.

    2. For a list of what I loved from this year (mostly vintage);

      Kurt Vonnegut’s The Sirens of Titan

      Greg Bear’s Forge of God / Anvil of Stars (2 part story, havent read the 2nd yet but the 1st is phenomenal)

      Olaf Stapledon’s Odd John / Star Maker

      Kate Wilhelm & Ted Thomas’ Year of the Cloud

      Avram Davidson’s Rork!

      Robert Silverberg’s Tower of Glass

      John Robert Russell’s Cabu

      and have to mention Jeff Vandermeer’s Southern Reach tetralogy that I read last year and still haunts me; Annihilation, Authority, Acceptance, Absolution

      If you read Recursion and and like Blake as an author, Dark Matter is also a great read.
