Eagerly seeking suggestions for something as good as fablehaven, but more adult (not looking for smut, just want R rather than pg13). I'm an intellectual approaching 30 and am a very tightly wound person. This whole year has basically beat the s**t out of me and I think a good fantasy will help me rediscover feeling something magical again like I'm a kid again, but without the cheesy-ness that comes from YA novels. I remember absolutely loving the fabelhaven series in my teens, so I thought they'd be a good frame of reference. Highly anticipating any suggestions, and I AM willing to consider other YA series but only if they are high quality. Including any selling points DOES NOT fall on deaf ears🙏🤓
