I just read And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie.
It was a really well written book and I enjoyed reading it but the ending was just a miss for me and didn't feel very satisfying because there weren't any 'hints' throughout the rest of the book regarding who the murderer is.
I was just a bit disappointed after finishing it, and I've had the same experience with movies where everything is a build up to the big mystery and you only find out what is actually going on in the last 5 minutes.
It just feels like my overall enjoyment relys on whether that big reveal lands or not.
So, are there any book suggestions for crime/thriller/mystery where I can actually piece together things during the book, and not just be told what happened behind the scenes in the end?

Millennium Trilogy by Stieg Larsson
I quite like the Cormoran Strike series by Robert Galbraith
