Book suggestion for new friend!

Hi everyone,

I’ve been out of the reading game for a bit, but would like to buy a few books for my friend to read over the Christmas holiday! She likes thriller/mystery books and dark/normal fantasy romance books. I did a little research and found these so far:

All the Colours of the Dark
Grave Empire
Wheel of Time
The Raven Scholar
The Knight and the Moth

Anyone read these or have other recommendations that might fit her genre?
