I am looking for a story about Body Swapping but with some kind of twist or unique take. Not the classical "Two characters swap for a time, learn a life lesson, swap back, and optionally fall in love." That is not what I'm looking for.
Instead I am interested in stories that take this premise but in a different direction. Ones where for example one of the characters die, the other person actually vanishes, they have no idea at all who they've become, it's actually a murder mystery, they never swap back, etc. Some examples of these books that I've read follow, but if you have anything with this trope but taken in a unique way or with a twist do let me know.

Like Never and Always by Ann Agguirre. Really love this, central premise is that after swapping bodies one of them dies in a car crash. The other, now definetly stuck, has to navigate their life and deal with some shady stuff they were involved in.

Shubashi Sweet Bitter Change. Central premise is that after swapping in elementary schools both characters have to navigate growing up as the other person. They never swap back.

Inside Mari. Originally starts as a regular one but I'd say the twist begins when the main protagonist finds themselves and discovers their own personality is still in them not Mari. Meaning Mari is just like gone gone. More happens later but just to give an idea.

The 7 and a 1/2 Death of Everlyn Hardcastle: A murder mystery but the protagonist wakes up each day as another suspect. I did end up disliking this one but that's becuase it hardly focused on exploring each person's life and instead went a whole other direction.
I hope that gives an idea of what I'm looking for, if anyone has any other examples please share!
