I read Let Him In by William Benedict and I fucking hated it. They kept hinting at things that could affect the plot and they never get mentioned again, none of the characters were likeable, it was written in confusing ways on purpose. Horrible book.
I want to hear your books that you DNF'd, forced yourself to finish, shit talked, etc 😈

A toss up between The Women by Kristin Hannah for obvious reasons and Eat My Heart Out by Zoe Pilger. I DNFed that after about 3 chapters because the characters were so exhaustingly obnoxious that it made me feel old.
Anathema. It was good until it turned to smut 2/3s of the way through and then it turned out to be a series. I finished it only to find out no questions are answered, nope I’m out.
It’s a tie between Incidents Around The House and the third Inheritance Games book
Rebuilding Russia by Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn. I read it at the start of the year so remember nothing about it other than it was so underwhelming and meh.
His fiction and gulag archipelago are compelling reads, but his views on politics didn’t grab me.
I hated 11/22/63 by Stephen King. People love it. I thought it dragged and there was really nothing interesting about it at all, and I’m a big Stephen King fan.
