It is always the same renowned examples in this genre, rather egregious ones too. it is very difficult to find ones which match my required tone, of subtle, ambiguous, hidden connection which isn't plot-centric and yet is still intriguing or meaningful. thus, I am looking for out of the way recommendations, hidden gems of this sort, if you know any.
