Can you guys give recommendations for books I'd like to gift to my coworkers

    1. My mentor – to thank him for all the guidance hes given me over the years and truly being an inspirational leader and someone i eventually would like to be like

    2. A new friend at work, who's new to the team but has been gelling well with the team but not settling too well with the bosses

I'm open to both fiction and non fiction!

PS – I am not an avid reader and have very limited knowledge on this but the folks i want to gift are avid readers and I do want to truly appreciate the mentorship/friendship given to me over the years and hence want to gift this!

    1. What a generous and thoughtful gesture . Gifting books is my love language, too. 🖤

That said, I’m a big fan of Peter Drucker when it comes to leadership. ‘Managing Oneself’ is a classic, though I’m not sure I’d gift it to a mentor as it might suggest *you* think he/she needs a bit of tuning up in that area. However, HBR has a compilation called ‘Classic Drucker’ that your mentor might enjoy, especially if he enjoys leading people. Alternatively, a mentor of mine really enjoyed and recommended Daniel Goleman’s work to me. For your coworker, I would suggest ‘No Mud, No Lotus’ by Thich Nhat Hanh, a former Buddhist monk and philosopher. It’s a gentle way of saying, ‘Hang in there, even when times are tough.’ 🖤
