Into fantasy of most kinds, not sure where to go next. Read Wind Up Bird Chronicle a while back. Last couple years have read Lord of the Rings, A Song of Ice and Fire, Six of Crows & Crooked Kingdom, The Familiar (also Bardugo), and the first four Earthsea books. Also Darkmotherland, though I wouldn’t exactly call it supernatural. More recently read Mistborn 1 and 2, found 2 to be too long and overall worse edited and worse written. Planning on reading Mistborn 3.
Also good with sci-fi. Have read the first three Red Rising books and Le Guin’s Lathe of Heaven & Word for World is Forest. Read Hitchhiker’s Guide as a boy, loved it.
Horror is cool. Read Ring Shout, didn’t think it was great but the premise was awesome. The Shining and Doctor Sleep. Now trying Lovecraft, only read a couple short stories so far.
I say supernatural fiction because I like those ideas. Either that people have sort of evolved over time, or some are unique, or some find themselves confronting forces greater than themselves. Doesn’t have to be strictly magic and dragons kind of supernatural, I’m up for a lot. Well-written is preferred, though that’s a matter of taste. Adult fiction also preferred, but I’ll take young adult if it’s good.
