I bought Man’s Search for Meaning by Viktor Frankl a while ago, but after reading a few pages, I stopped because it didn’t really impress me. For those who’ve read it — is it worth giving another try? Did it impact you in any meaningful way?

Very few books impress in the first few pages. Give it a chance. In saying that, it’s not for everyone. It has an awful lot of admirers, and garners plenty of praise, but the book is not without its critics. It’s ok to not like the book. It didn’t really grab me, honestly. Too direct and instructional. I prefer narrative.
Personally, I found “The Happiest Man on Earth” by Eddie Jaku more inspiring. That might be a better fit for you, if you’re looking for something else written by a concentration camp survivor. I prefer a story where I can glean my own meaning and lessons from the material.
