Hey all!! I just fell into a rabbit-hole reading u/PsyferRFL's post "What's the worst title for a book you've ever come across?". And I know it ain't the most original thing but laughing at and reading the comments on that post got me wondering: what are some of peoples favourite book titles?
I'll start with a few that I really enjoy: Near to the Wild Heart/The Hour of the Star (both by Clarice Lispector), Written on the Body by Jeanette Winterson, Bluets by Maggie Nelson, and, of course, One Hundred Years of Solitude are all bangers (in my opinion).
But let me know what you all enjoy, and if the content of the book lived up to the expectation set by the title.

I personally love Oryx & Crake. Also has one of my fav lines
Dream steals from its lair toward its prey
“I Who Have Never Known Men” I picked up purely on the title. I enjoy dystopian things, so yes I would say it met expectations well enough.
So Long, See You Tomorrow
***One Day, Everyone Will Have Always Been Against This*** by ***Omar Akkad***
Venus Envy by Rita Mae Brown
Trout fishing in America
I like A Little Life, and The City and Its Uncertain Walls.
The Aerodynamics of Pork
I dig the old school big picture theme names. “Pride and Prejudice”, “Crime and Punishment”, “War and Peace”, etc.
***How to start a Fire and Why*** is a title that intrigued me enough to buy and read the book without further information.
***The End*** is an amazing title in context. After twelve alliterative titles with increasingly obscure adjectives, the simplicity of this one is both a punchline and a gut punch.
***Equal Rites***, for obvious reasons.
The Horrific Sufferings of the Mind-Reading Monster Hercules Barefoot. It’s an absolutely great book as well!
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
Steal This Book by Jerry Reuben
The only book series I bought based on the title alone: A dance to the music of time
