Hi so I've just got back to reading recently and I'm keen to read more thriller books as it is my favourite genre. Any recommendations for such books? It may range from psychological thrillers to those detective mysteries. Also would like a book that isn't too long winded with good plot twists!

Detective – John Sandford | Lucas Davenport – Prey series.
Thriller – Stephen King | Different Seasons (or any King books. A great stand alone is 11.23.63 or Needful Things)
Vigilante – Lee Child | Jack Reacher books.
Female lead – Any Freida McFadden novels.
Thriller isn’t my go to these days but I love anything Karin Slaughter. She has 2 longer series that are interconnected (Grant County and Will Trent) and quite a few standalone novels. Her newest book We Are All Guilty Here is the first in her newest series (North Falls) but it doesn’t end on a cliffhanger. I loved it. Less graphic than a lot of her books if that matters to you.
Also read Look Closer by David Ellis and Listen for the Lie by Amy Tintera last year and really enjoyed them. If you do audio at all Listen for the Lie was excellent. They produced the podcast parts of the book to sound like a real podcast. Super cool.
