I have decided I need to read (listen) to more fictional (audio)books. I listen to a lot of geopolitical nonfiction books. i like the subject matter a lot, but these can be dry and mentally exhausting. Also I have heard fiction is good to improve emotional intelligence.
I mainly listen to audiobooks on libby vice reading or buying.
I am very open to what i read, could be historical fiction, current, future classic, fantasty, or sci fi but I would like it to not too too taxing to read.
below are recent books i’ve read to get an idea of what i’ve been reading.
recent books read: diplomacy by kissinger, on china, death is our business by lechner, sea people by thompson, african history of africa by badawi, return of marco polos world by kaplan, the dragon’s gift by brautigam
podcasts: china in global south, behind the bastards, international crisis group’s podcasts, CSIS podcasts
