Recommend me the scariest horror page turner that you absolutely couldn’t put down

Some horror books are scary, but they can be slow and only based on creepy frightening atmosphere

But I want a horror book that has the most thrilling plot, where you just cannot wait to see what happens next; the twists and reveals are sooo well done and thought out. I don't necessarily mean there should be lots of action, but more like – lots of tension, where I absolutely cannot stop reading, and at the same time I'm so scared I HAVE to stop reading

I want both – trusted and time tested classics , but I also find that modern books can almost have even more effect on me because it feels more relatable and I can get sucked into it more
