My daughter (9) is a voracious reader and well above the reading level for her age. She has really enjoyed Warrior Cats and Wings of Fire, but her teacher is asking us to help her find some more challenging books.
I've offered LoTR, the Phantom Tollbooth, Chronicles of Narnia, and A Wrinkle in Time, but they aren't grabbing her like the books mentioned above. We listened to The Hobbit together and she enjoyed it, but getting her to pick up a book that isn't WoF or Warrior Cats is a bit of a struggle.
Honestly, I'm just glad she's reading, but it would be nice to see her expand her literary horizons.
What would y'all recommend?
