The more I read Fantasy genre, the more I read of books where the protagonist begins as some Tom, Dick or Harry and is thrown into a world of high stakes where they excel to become " the one" .

This has happened in more books than I can name off the top of my head,,, like from Vin in the Mistborn triology to Rand in Wheel of Time. Vis in The Will of Many to Darrow in Red Rising . Even Kathniss Everdeen follows in the same formula. So do most of YA fantasy I've ever come across follow the pattern and don't get me started on Romantasy where this trope is the genre's bread and butter.

I'd love to read of something different now,,, where we and the protagonist know they're the chosen one. That they are going to be "the one" since almost the beginning. Not like the inkling we have about Paul in Dune or how we feel about Dany in ASOIAF. I'm looking for an established protagonist with their training arc done off page, have accepted or at least know their fate to change the world. Something like Aang from ATLA or even to some extent Leto in the Children of Dune. It'd be a refreshing take I'd love to read because (this is not a complain) I feel it'd be fun to read in the head of a protagonist who already knows they're the destined one instead of the reluctant hero we almost always get everytime.

tldr: i'd love to find a book/series where the protagonist already knows they are the "child of prophecy", "the saviour of many", "the one to change fate not just tempt it",,, yk the drill from the get go. I'd love to read of someone who's done their training arc somewhere and has accepted their fate (albeit reluctant or not),,, instead of a reluctant hero plucked from the depths of hell to make it to the top kinda person. I don't hate this trope necessarily,,, I love it even but I'd love to read a different kind story. Something that's not everywhere and known. I accept reccs for everything from sci-fi to SFF to fantasy. YA and even Romantasy is welcome. Pls and thankq.
