Looking for some new books to read

Hi I’m currently a college student anticipating winter break. I’m looking to read some fiction since I read so much non-fiction for school.

I’m not sure what I’m in the mood for. I’m not big on fantasy books..

Some books I’ve loved in the past include:

It’s Kind Of A Funny Story, The Hate U Give, The Fault In Our Stars, The Perks Of Being A Wallflower, The Virgin Suicides, and Daisy Jones & The Six.

Now I’ll be honest, a lot of these were read when I was younger but I do tend to like emotionally impactful / deep stories.

I was thinking about reading the secret history but I’m not sure since I’m not always in the mood for a mystery book.

Any suggestions? I’m looking for something with a great story with characters that stick with you for a while. I also like romance but not if it’s the whole book.
