I’m looking for my next good/great read. I prefer something that makes me think and enables me to expand my worldview and help me think more critically. I really liked American Gods partially because it did that for me.
I recently enjoyed Crime and Punishment, Lord of the Flies, Fahrenheit 451, Good Omens, Animal Farm, of mice and men, A man called Ove, the godfather, Lord of the Rings (loved it but it was too “slow” for me at any points and took me a very long time to finish because of that)
Huge fan of It, but the ending was extremely anticlimactic. The Shining was also very good with a weak ending imo.
I did NOT like the midnight library, or guards! Guards! – I assumed I would like Pratchett since I pulled good omens, but guards! Guards! was simply too quirky for me.
I know this list is a bit random, which is why I’m open to most ideas. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

If you like all this – when my advice to you:
Pay attention to all Nobel prise winners till 1970 year. Most of them are great. Pick any and read.
Also try to read not one book of one author, try to read 3-5 books. This will expand your vision on author and time he wrote his books.
