Looking for a grown-up romance novel

I'm looking for adult romance novels that aren't fanfiction-y (if that makes sense). Something more grounded and mature, the kind of love story that grapples with deeper life issues. It may include fantasy, as long as the romance is central to the plot.

I'm a man who wants to read more romance, but I'd like something that feels like I'm listening to “Something” by The Beatles, and not a teenage love song.

Bonus points if the story is about finally finding love despite life’s messiness, healing, second chances, late-in-life reconnections, that kind of thing.
